Nai Nai
Nai Nai means Grandma in Mandarin. Our film is about a Chinese grandmother who, after surviving the Nanking Massacre in 1938, develops a deep-seated grudge towards the Japanese. More than half a century later, as the wounds of the past continue to fester, Nai Nai is forced to confront this hatred when her granddaughter, Mei, brings home her Japanese fiancé, Ken. Will Nai Nai learn to accept her granddaughter's love? Or will she be forever stuck in the past?
