This series features three renowned and penetrating Canadian documentaries on pressing social issues. A Better Man investigates domestic violence from a fresh and constructive perspective. The screening will be followed by a discussion featuring three local professionals in the field of gender-based violence. Twice Colonized follows the Inuit lawyer and activist Aaju Peter on a transnational journey for justice and reconciliation. Finally Connecting the Dots provides a bold and trenchant exploration of youth mental health from a global perspective. The film’s director, Noemi Weis, will be available after the screening to take questions.
