Join the CMPA’s Andrew Addison for a wide-ranging discussion on the work that the Canadian Media Producers Association is doing on behalf of producers and the domestic industry across Canada. Andrew will provide an overview of the economic state of the industry in Canada, give an update on government and regulatory efforts to update the Broadcasting Act, and discuss possible implications of a coming federal election.
Andrew Addison
Andrew Addison leads strategic communications and member services for the Canadian Media Producers Association. In this role, he gets to tell the world about the phenomenal content created by Canada’s independent media producers, and the impressive contribution the sector makes to the country’s economic growth and cultural identity.
Andrew and his talented team are responsible for media relations, marketing, advertising, sponsorship, professional development, mentorship, member services, and international at the CMPA. Andrew produces the CMPA’s annual Prime Time conference in Ottawa and the CMPA Indiescreen Awards, which recognize excellence among Canada’s feature film producers. He is also editor-in-chief of the CMPA’s Indiescreen magazine.
