I went through a dark part of my life, where I was manic or depressed or inbetween but not to long. Going through the ups and downs and emotions, I wanted to make a poem where I can tell myself what I over came to be who I am today and push myself to be the best I can be.

The Neighbourhood
North Central is a neighbourhood in Regina, Saskatchewan with a complicated story. From the conception of this Saskatchewan city, to the present day, the stigma that this community faces has become an identifying factor. However, the Neighbourhood is a place where many residents feel connected to their people and their culture, yet the struggles the residents and the neighbourhood face are still prevalent.
