Would You Like to Tell Me a Story?
As China abruptly lifts its "zero-COVID" policies, leaving many grappling with the sudden change, we look back at our personal stories during the still-recent lockdown in Shanghai, which lasted for two full months over the spring of 2022. Through sharing the unique experiences about food, pain, and even parenthood, we found in each other not only healing and support, but also a fresh understanding of what lies ahead of us.
Symphonic Distress
The music came first. Asked to provide a visual component, I was struck by its beauty from the very first listen. Although the music and the film are in themselves apolitical, the urgent impulse to express ourselves through art has been exacerbated by the outbreak of the Russo-Ukrainian conflict. The intention, while avoiding any direct reference to war, is to tacitly evoke certain universal emotions born out of its consequences: fear, suffering, outrage, vulnerability, abnegation, hope.

Two Roomates are sitting in there living space when strange occurrences and characters interrupt there complacency, eventually inspiring them to move beyond the confines of the void.
RUA DO PRIOR 41
Lisboa, 1974. Franco Lorenzoni, a militant in his twenties of Lotta Continua, the most important Italian extra-parliamentary group of the 70s, occupies a house in Rua do Prior 41. Over the following months, that house will become the headquarters of the Associação de Amizade Revolucionária Portugal-Italia, that will bring hundreds of young people from all over the world see with their own eyes the freest country in Europe.
